Code Of Conduct
This is absolutely the most important policy of Backwoods Beats. Our staff is in the middle of receiving their certifications to reliably and skillfully handle patrons who do not abide by our Code of Conduct.
Backwoods Beats has an uncompromising belief that safety is the number one priority at our events. Our events are a safe space for free expression, movement, and artistic appreciation, and every participant at our events must adhere to the following:
- We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexism, racism, transphobia, homophobia, verbal and/or physical violence, and discriminatory language.
- All person-to-person physical contact must not be initiated without expressed consent of all parties involved.
- We operate on a level of mutual respect for one-another, the music, and artists.
- The use of phones on the dancefloor is discouraged, and conversations among participants are encouraged in spaces outside of the immediate dancefloor area.
- The use, possession, or trade of illicit substances is prohibited.
- Visibly intoxicated and/or aggressive individuals will not be permitted entry.
- We encourage safe consumption and harm reduction at our parties.
We believe that our events are a place for all to connect as a community in a safe and responsible manner. If you feel unsafe, or if you witness or experience unsafe behavior that violates the policies above, please do not hesitate to find our safety monitors and/or staff. If you cannot operate within these guidelines in a safe and responsible manner, you will be asked to leave. Watch out and take care of eachother, and most importantly, enjoy your experience with us.
